Tips for Reporting Work Injuries

Hi, I am Adam Quatrini with another Legal Tip Tuesday, and today we’re going to talk about Workers’ Compensation and reporting your accident IMMEDIATELY.
Whenever you get injured on the job you might not be sure exactly what just happened. Some individuals think that they can walk it off or that something might go away in the next few days, inevitably to wake up the next morning feeling even worse. My strong advice to you is to make sure that even if you’re not quite sure, report that accident or that injury immediately, even if you’re not quite sure if it’s going to be that bad, disabling, or keep you out of work.
Also, if you do report that injury, an insurance adjuster is going to call you and want to take a statement. Do not give them that statement until you speak to me or another attorney at QuatriniRafferty to make sure that that statement is well vetted, and you have already discussed the legal consequences of giving that particular statement.
Always report your accident and never speak to a storage adjuster, give any statement of any kind before you talk to us.
Thank you and this has just been a brief Legal Tip Tuesday.
