The QR Veterans Disability Group was recently contacted to investigate claims for Veterans exposed to Polychlorinated Biphenyls – PCBs – at McClellan Air Force Base.
PCB’s are a known carcinogen, as detailed by the Centers for Disease Control.
In 2002, 60 Minutes produced a story about the chemical exposure in and around the base:

More recently, U.S. Congressman Paul Tonko, a Democratic Representive from New York, introduced the “Fort McClellan Health Registry Act” which would direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish and maintain a special record to chart the symptoms and conditions associated with veterans who were stationed on base. So far, the legislation has been idle.
