Biography
Shelley W. Elovitz has been representing injured workers for over 50 years. During his long career, he has assisted clients throughout Western Pennsylvania and seen a wide range of injuries, including back and spinal injuries, arthritis, stroke, hearing loss, disfigurement, and wrongful death. Shelley also counsels clients on Long-Term Disability and Social Security Disability Insurance benefits, exploring what benefits they may be eligible for and helping them to navigate the application and appeals processes.
Shelley earned his B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is a member of the America Association for Justice, The Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Western Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Shelley is rated AV Pre-eminent by Martindale-Hubbell® and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 1995. He holds a 9.3 (Superb) rating on AVVO. He has written articles explaining Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), the Interplay of long-term disability and Social Security Disability Insurances, and Modified and Light Duty for Workers’ Compensation claimants.
Shelley divides his time between Pittsburgh and Florida with his wife, Charlotte. He is a member of Temple Sinai and enjoys tennis in his free time.
